ABOUT EHBA:
1. EHBA is a registered non-profit organization offering Spanish language classes to adults in two different formats: (a) in-classroom instruction is provided for students in the Edmonton and greater area; (b) Online delivery all over the world! Our instructional system is based on modern techniques and uses the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) in its curriculum and it is designed to teach you Spanish conversationally and by getting you to perform tasks that you would encounter in the culture and real life outside of the classroom.

2. Our curriculum includes six different levels of Spanish instruction, as well as an advanced conversational course. Levels 1-6 are textbook-based and the Conversation class is taught in a seminar style (no textbook).
For Levels 1-6, one textbook is used in levels 1-3 and the other textbook is used for levels 4-6.

3. Since we all have busy lives and many other activities to do, we save you the burden of marks. Our courses are not graded, but we encourage our students to go through a series of homework and assignments for self-assessment purposes, only. It is up to you how hard you want to study, and how fast you want to move up the ladder of knowledge.

4. At EHBA, we believe in cultural integration as a valuable learning tool. We believe in supporting LOCAL business and local community building. Our instructors are native to Latin-America and Spain who know Edmonton and its communities. Even when you take our online lessons, our instructors can relate to your experiences, while you learn from a more wholistic and bi-cultural perspective. To keep our learning among friends, we often organize out-of-class coffee sessions, gatherings, conversation clubs, and other social events in which you will have the opportunity to practice your communication skills and meet others like you.
WHY EHBA?
At the Edmonton Hispanic Bilingual Association, our students receive so much more than an ordinary Spanish course. We pride ourselves on creating a unique, exciting environment that embraces all types of learners and promotes cultural growth and community building.
Currently, our program is designed for students (18+), adults and seniors, but we are working on a family program designed for children (5+). Stay tuned!
