About Me...

Ivonne graduated with a degree in French and Spanish Education from the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas (IPC) in Venezuela. Two years later, she earned a Master of Education with a specialization in Educational Administration and Supervision, and a minor in Language Learning Methodologies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, LA, USA.
Throughout her career, Ivonne has been committed to education at all levels. Before moving to Canada, she worked as an Educational Consultant at the Corporate University of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSACIED). Upon arriving in Canada, she began her career as a Spanish instructor at College Boreal in London, Ontario. Later, in Edmonton, she held various positions as a Language Program Administrator at institutions such as the Academy of Learning, Lakeland College, and Q-Bridge Instructional Technologies.
Ivonne also served as a Spanish instructor at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Extension for 14 years. During the pandemic, Ivonne pursued certification in Formación de Facilitadores Virtuales with PCO’s International, becoming a certified Spanish language facilitator using Giorgi Lozanov’s Accelerative Learning methodology. She currently teaches Spanish to adults at Gabriela Mistral School and EHBA, instructing levels 3 and 5.
In her personal life, Ivonne enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, and occasionally plays pickleball with her siblings.
